Cyto Greens for Athletes Review
I whole heartedly believe that you should get your nutrients from real food – it’s what I strive to do and what I tell others. But there are times that I eat to fit my goals, and when I am on particular program, I may add supplements to my diet. For example, if I am trying to lift heavy and add some muscle, I may add more carbs, calories muscle repairing supplements into my diet. If I am trying to lean out a little, I’ll drop some starches and add in more veggies, protein and a women’s multi. I know everyone says taking vitamins are a waste of money, but in my opinion, research shows that they can help support – as in addition to good wholesome food – a healthy immune system; especially when the body is in a state of stress.
Recently, Allison at Bodybuilding.com sent me a container of Cyto Greens for Athletes to sample. She knows I promote natural products and thought it might be of interest to me. After checking the label, I took her up on her offer. This product contains some powerful stuff.

This product was designed to help athletes recover from intense training. I am not going to say that I train as hard as an athlete – I’m sure I don’t. But I train as intensely as I can for my fitness level. And because I am recovering from an injury, I will take all the extra help I can get! So even though I haven’t been able to lift weights in the past 3 weeks, I have been adding a scoop of the greens powder into my protein shake every day. I have been given the “green” light to resume my workouts (with some restrictions) next week – yay – and I will continue to add the greens powders to my shakes.
Now, I’m going to be honest with you, I tried to drink this greens powders on its own in nothing but water, and it just wasn’t tasty. I got it down, but it was like drinking blended grass. (Sorry Allison). However, when I add to my shake (recipe above), I can’t taste it. I admit the color isn’t exactly pretty, but it’s thick, creamy, nutritious and tasty!
